Heavy bass and analog fx characterize the sound of Dubbhism productions. Another thing we're interested in is xenharmonic music; it's about creating new (unusual) harmonies, through the use of uncommon or homegrown tunings and combinations of tunings.
While dj-culture, sample and loop-driven production and tools like Ableton Live have introduced some radically new approaches to harmony, xenharmonic music is based on a more theoretical concept. Rooted in traditional music theory, this approach goes back to ancient Sumeria (not to be confused with the Rastafarian concept of Babylon).
Labels like Xen-Arts and Split-Notes are specialized in xenharmonic music. Check out releases like 23, Subversio, Klee in Dubb and Keepin' it Steady.
